Practical Ways to Keep Learning

  • Read our blogs on all things time management. One that talks about some key ways to systematically manage your time would be this one.
  • Dive into the world of Pomodoro. Attend workshops on the Pomodoro Technique.
  • Practice makes great! Try implementing the Pomodoro Technique in your own work routine and then share with students as a way to remind them of these life skills that transcend generations. We all benefit from using them whether in school, on the job, or at home.
  • Try using interactive tools and apps designed for the Pomodoro Technique. We like how ToDoist has this technique built in as a template to use!
  • We provided suggestions in the infographic to adjust breaks as needed. This is called customizing your Pomodoro Technique. Keep doing so to fit the needs of different age groups.
  • Do not forget to share experiences and resources with other career coaches.

Think Skill Tools was founded by Dr. Danielle Reid. Having no choice but to hang up her lab coat as an Environmental Health Toxicologist and Industrial Hygienist, after having her first child, she pivoted into a space where she could have the best of both worlds – loving on her kids and serving others in the education sector. She dove head first into the world of educational content development and homeschooling. Walking in her purpose (and having fun with it!), she is on a mission to create resources that make career education (at home and in the classroom) the norm and way less complicated to navigate.
