Description
The phrase, “I will never use this when I get a job” is commonly stated by students. Most often this happens when the content being studied meets a learning objective but in no way relates to what students see in their communities, at home, and in society.
This seatwork activity shows students how the books they read in class, the writing assignment they complete, the essay they create absolutely connects to their future career self. Students will practice identifying skills strengthened when completing a homework and class assignment. They will use those identified skills to explore how they are related to their dream career.
Worksheets are fillable. Students can complete them directly on their devices (e.g. tablets, phones, computers). Access to a PDF viewer is required to use this feature.
Seatwork activities are designed to be flexible for all learning spaces – at home, in the classroom, in a microschool, as part of group work, and more!
Specifically designed for homework, classwork, and lessons focused on English/Language Arts coursework.
