Career discovery has a strong emphasis on promoting a student’s curious mind to think (and ask questions!) as well as encouraging them to use their imagination. In this activity pack, we are taking a great topic “Community Helpers” that young students explore and jazz it up with some career learning connections. These are more than your typical maze challenges and puzzles. They are an opportunity for you to introduce careers to your students in a fun and engaging way.

Why We Made This Activity Pack

Think Skill Tools is here to provide resources for all students and adults traveling down their career path. That career path occurs in three unique stages – discovery, exploration, and readiness. With this being a career discovery activity pack, students get the opportunity to strengthen their problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Both skills, also known as soft skills, are vitally important and necessary in the workforce, for any career path a student explores.

What’s Inside?

  • 4 Exciting Mazes: Each maze features a different community helper, including firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and veterinarians. Your students will navigate through fun challenges while learning about these essential roles in what we call “Career Peeks”.
  • Interactive Fun: These mazes are designed to be both entertaining and educational, keeping students engaged and motivated to complete each puzzle.
  • Colorful Illustrations: Vibrant visuals bring each community helper to life, making the learning experience even more enjoyable.

This is a great addition for any unit study on community helpers where you would like to add a career education piece, without it being a full-length lesson. All of our resources are designed to be flexible for use in a classroom, homeschool, virtual learning, and micro learning spaces.
